Hands of Hope
The Hands of Hope Volunteers provide support for those undergoing chemotherapy at Dreyer Medical Clinic, Aurora and at Provena Regional Cancer Care Center, Elgin. Emotional health plays a significant role in a person’s ability to heal. Volunteers provide emotional support, offer respectful caring and non-judgmental listening and provide a healing presence to patients during their infusion treatments. Patients of all ages receive fleece blankets, comfort pillows, listen to music of their choice and enjoy fresh refreshments as well. All Hands of Hope volunteers are extensively trained to encourage open and honest communication between patients and their families.
